Is there a special license that I need before I purchase my boat?

If you are born after July 1, 1972 you must take an approved boater safety course.

Will I be required to pay Maryland Sales Tax if I regiater my boat in another state?

No. Maryland sales tax is waived for a boat taken to another state for registration and storage.
